What is commonly referred to as “management” is an umbrella term that encompasses a large spectrum of specific management fields. Management research identified 52 management fields, spanning general and business management to management in specific industries such as finance, marketing, logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, property and even administration.

All these industry-specific management fields share the same basic managerial knowledge. Generally, these skills and competencies relate to functions such as planning, organising, leading and controlling, which are universally considered competencies that all managers, irrespective of the industry, should be capable of.

This course will provide you with a sound understanding of the tools to effectively manage a range of industry contexts and at various managerial levels, as well as understand why and how to apply sound business ethics and corporate governance.
